Wireless Antenna Selection Guide
Wireless-G Broadband Router
WRT54G
 We
have the Antenna that you need to extend the coverage area.
Wireless-G is the upcoming 54Mbps wireless networking standard
that's almost five times as fast as the widely deployed
Wireless-B (802.11b) products found in homes, businesses, and
public wireless hotspots around the country — but since they
share the same 2.4GHz radio band, Wireless-G devices can also
interoperate with existing 11Mbps Wireless-B equipment.
Since both standards are built in, you can protect your
investment in existing 802.11b infrastructure, and migrate to
the new screaming fast Wireless-G standard as your needs grow.
The Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router is really three devices
in one box. First, there's the Wireless Access Point, which lets
you connect Wireless-G or Wireless-B devices to the network.
There's also a built-in 4-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch to
connect your wired-Ethernet devices. Connect four PCs directly,
or daisy-chain out to more hubs and switches to create as big a
network as you need. Finally, the Router function ties it all
together and lets your whole network share a high-speed cable or
DSL Internet connection, files, and other resources such as
printers and hard disk storage space.
To protect your data and privacy, the Wireless-G Broadband
Router can encode all wireless transmissions using 128-bit WEP
encryption, and also supports industrial-strength Wi-Fi
Protected Access™ (WPA) wireless security. The Router protects
your PC from most known Internet attacks with a powerful
Stateful Packet Inspection firewall. It can also serve as a DHCP
Server, supports VPN pass-through, and can be configured to
filter internal users' access to the Internet. And even with all
this power, set up is a snap with the web browser-based
configuration utility.
With the Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router at the center of
your home or office network, you can share a high-speed Internet
connection, files, printers, and multi-player games with the
flexibility, speed, and security you need!
The Wireless Antenna Selection Chart will give you a basic
understanding of the characteristics and applications of each
Antenna type. If you need further assistance in selecting a

8 dBi Ceiling
Mount Directional Antenna Array
Cushcraft
recently engineered a directional ISM band antenna for ceiling mount
applications where directional coverage and low visibility are
desirable. The antenna exhibits 8 dBi of gain in the 2400 - 2500 MHz
frequency band. The antenna is 7-1/4” x 3-3/4” x 2” and weighs only 0.3
lbs. (.14kg). The antenna housing is vacuum formed from UV stabile
thermoplastic. Standard models are white in color with a textured
finish. Custom configurations of radome finish, color and texture can be
provided to compliment and blend with any environment. The antenna is a
perfect choice to use with wireless LAN systems where directional
coverage is desirable from a mounting location overhead. Offices,
HealthCare facilities, educational or industrial campuses and shopping
malls are just a few of the more common applications for this antenna
design.

6 dBi Directional Panel
Antenna
The S2406P
antenna has been designed to provide users of 2.4 GHz. systems with an
antenna offering 6+ dBi of directional gain in a package that can be
easily hidden or disguised. The antenna can either be wall mounted to
provide directional coverage or ceiling mounted if there is a desire to
direct or focus signal into a coverage area from a ceiling mount
location. There is an articulating mount available for the antenna. The
articulating mount allows the antenna to be oriented both in azimuth and
elevation. The antenna's most compelling feature is its total size. The
antenna is only 5.2" X 3.8" X 1/2" deep in total. As such the antenna
can be conveniently mounted in very confined spaces and disguised if
need be.

24 dBi Parabolic
Reflector Antenna
Cushcraft's parabolic dish antennas are available for 2.4 GHz ISM band
applications. Both the antenna and its mounting hardware are extremely
rugged, assuring users that their critical communications link will be
maintained
even in the harshest environments. Mounting hardware allows for +/- 20
degree reflector tilt adjustment and the feed is adjustable for
horizontal or vertical polarization.

2.4-2.5
GHz 12 dBi, 40 Degree H-Plane Panel Antenna
Cushcraft's
S2401240P12NF antenna offers high gain and a narrow H-plane beamwidth
and is a perfect choice in instances when an attractive, low profile
high gain directional antenna is required. The antenna's neutral,
contemporary housing blends seamlessly into any indoor or outdoor
environment and can be mounted to interior and exterior wall surfaces,
masts and other common mounting platforms. The antenna is only 6"x6"x1"
in size making it easy to work into any indoor or outdoor WLAN or
broadband wireless application. The antenna can either be mounted
directly to a wall surface or can be mounted using a mount that allows
for adjustment in both the azimuth and the elevation planes. Typical
applications include Enterprise Wireless LAN systems, Wireless Bridges,
Business, Hospital, Industrial and Educational campuses as well as any
systems requirement for a low profile directional panel in the 2.4-2.5
GHz
range. Contact your Cushcraft sales
representative to discuss cable length and connector type options.

2 dBi Integrated Spatial Diversity Ceiling Mount Omnidirectional Antenna
Cushcraft's
integrated spatial diversity antenna design features two separate 2 dBi
omnidirectional radiating elements sharing a common backplane and
enclosure. The radiating elements are terminated with coaxial pigtails
and mmcx connectors that exit the backplane of the antenna. Hence, they can
interface with an access point that has been mounted in the plenum above
the ceiling if so desired. The complete package dimensions are 5.25"
X2.75" X .75". Both coax lengths, connector type and package aesthetics
can be modified to meet customer requirements. Offices, HealthCare
facilities, educational or industrial campuses and shopping malls are
just a few of the more common applications for this antenna design.
Antenna also available with side exit coax for shelf or desktop mount.

13.9 dBi Directional Yagi
Antenna The PC2415N
and PC2415NA directional yagis provide users with a rugged, easy to
install, high gain directional antenna for deploying 2.4 GHz point to
point bridges, and can also be used as an access point antenna in long
narrow coverage environments like a tunnel. The antenna offers 13.9 dBi
of gain and a very symmetrical and uniform pattern characteristic. These
antennas come equiped with 12" of coax and N female connector. They can
be installed in either horizontal or vertical polarization and the
design incorporates weep holes that are positioned to function
regardless of polarization (sealing system provided for unused holes).
The PC2415NA features an articulating mount that allows for both azimuth
and elevation adjustment. The articulating mount allows the antenna's
radiation pattern to be precisely directed into a desired coverage area
or at a corresponding antenna servicing another bridge. The articulating
mount is particularly useful when corresponding bridge antennas can not
be mounted at the same elevation without involving the use of
excessively long coax runs.
